Quote of the Week
"True greatness merely refuses to change in the face of bad actions against one
and a truly great person loves his fellows because he understands them"
"What is greatness?" - WHAT ARE PEOPLE FOR?

Favorite LRH Quote: "It is an empirical observation that men without a strong and lasting faith in a Supreme Being are less capable, less ethical, and less valuable to themselves and society."

Science of Survival
Success Story: Having grown up in the '60s in the San Franicisco Bay Area, I found the environment within the colleges full of doubts as regards the future. Then Viet Nam came about and added to the insecurities of life. Add to that I was born at the tail end of WWII with air raid drills in basements of the schools I went to as a child, which was a constant restimulation. And if that wasn't enough, I got married at age 18 to a man who I wasn't even prepared to know how to deal with, as regarded his personal problems.

Then one day my husband's manager introduced us to Scientology and the little Mission in Hayward, California.
Jerry and Liza Hedin were running this Mission and doing a grand job of it.

That day started me on a track that would change my world forever more.
Life became understandable, I learned how to handle my problems, my ability to duplicate increased, and observation abilities also. I discovered that I could increase my understanding on who and what I was, which raised my ability to know who and what others were. The list of discoveries and realizations is countless.

This didn't happen over night. It was a steady, progressive, noticing how much more aware I was becoming and less reactive to what once were bothersome subjects to me. I am still changing and all for the better.

Before Ron Hubbard and his research, I was lost in space. I will be his friend always as he will be mine. This is so even to the enemies that, to this day, do their best to invalidate him as a person, an author, a leader, a great humanitarian. When the world receives a man such as Ron Hubbard, we can expect to see good, bad, and ugly coming from all walks of life in reaction to the order being put in.

May we never be the same. Thank you Mr. Hubbard. Your energy and works were not in vain.
LRH Story: My son joined the Sea Org around 1980 or so. He was only 16 and wasn't sure it was what he really wanted to do. The reg cycle he received was the typical promising everything including being able to work with Ron, and then having arrived, finding it to be nothing like the PR. We laugh about it now, so I don't want to paint a black picture about the reg cycle, just tell it like it was.

After being there a few months and climbing palms frequently with ants and bugs biting him, humid hot quarters with no air, etc, he wrote a letter to Ron explaining to him that he really didn't think the Sea Org was for him as he still had a desire to be a musician, which he excelled in.

Ron wrote him back with no evaluation, no invalidation, and told him he was sure he would make the right decision.
It was a very A to B letter with affection and no hint of making my son wrong for whatever decision he made.

This is the Ron I loved. A man who practiced what he lectured.
